Leela is a famous story originated in India. The story was written by 'Unni R' who is an Indian short story writer and screen writer best known for his work in Malayalam literature and Malayalam cinema. He won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Screenplay for the film Charlie (2015), and also won the prestigious Kerala Sahithya Academy Geetha Hiranyan endowment for his Short Story collection Ozhivudivasathe Kali, which has been made into the film of the same name. It was directed by Sanal Kumar Sasidharan. It won the 46th Kerala State Award for Best Film. His notable short stories are Leela, Kalinadakam, and Bahujeevitham.
